Wapsi Ostrich Marabou Feathers. Ostrich marabou is a soft, pulsating feather used for tails, collars, and wrapped bodies on streamers, salmon and steelhead flies, and nymphs. Ostrich marabou has flexible stems that can be palmered and wrapped without breaking, giving it more versatility than typical turkey marabou. Common applications:

- Body of nymph fly patterns, adds nice movement
- Tails on Woolly Buggers and general streamers (a direct alternative to turkey marabou)
- Collars, tails, or palmered hackle on salmon and steelhead flies, including Spey-style patterns
- String leeches for steelhead and salmon
- Individual fibers pulled from the stem for damselfly nymph tails or gill imitations on nymphs
- Pike streamers
