Zebra Copper John Nymph. Overall, the Copper John is a heavy fly that sinks quickly, making it ideal for fishing deep or fast-moving water. The metallic shine of the wire body can imitate the natural shine of a variety of aquatic insects, and the dark wing case and thorax can provide a good contrast against the light of the water, making it easy for fish to see. The legs of the fly can create subtle movement and the tungsten bead head provides extra weight.
