Mottled tungsten beads, a recent additions to our small slotted tungsten bead selection.
Small slotted tungsten beads are small, cylindrical pieces of tungsten used in fly fishing / fly tying. These beads have a small slit or groove cut into them, which allows them to perfectly slid onto the hook, where they sit securely in place.
The purpose of using tungsten beads in fly fishing is to add weight to the fly, which helps it sink more quickly in the water. Tungsten is a very dense material, which means that even small beads can add a significant amount of weight to the fly.
